Brooky and Cowell were at odds because Brooky disagreed with the Cowell Master over songwriting. Clearly Brookstein knows more about the music industry than Cowell. He was soon dropped by Cowell’s label. Brookstein commented: This is what happens when you fall out with Simon Cowell”. Yeah also this is what happens when you are an ageing crooner who makes people cringe.
Oh by the way 41 year old Brookstein made the above comment following his performance at a Cornish village pub, which attracted just 50 people. That’s right folks a village pub. Punters were charged £2.50 for the pleasure. Refund anyone?
